Chill Bros. Ice Cream will celebrate the grand opening of its new location at Tampa’s Epicurean Hotel (1207 S. Howard Ave.) on Friday, Dec. 3. Located streetside on the ground floor of the popular 137-room, culinary-themed hotel, Chill Bros. at Epicurean will be the Tampa-based company’s third scoop shop, adding to its locations in Ybor City and South Tampa.

The local company was launched by the Chillura brothers, who find passion in developing all-natural, American-style ice cream made from scratch. The ice cream shop uses only the finest ingredients and features a wide variety of made-from-scratch ice creams, mix-ins, toppings, candies, sauces, waffle cones and baked goods. A “super chill” spot to stop in anytime to relax and enjoy a tasty treat, Chill Bros. at Epicurean will be open seven days a week, opening at noon each day and closing at 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at 9 p.m. Sunday, and at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“At Epicurean, we’re all about food and fun, so we’re thrilled to partner with Chill Bros., whose dedication to quality and creativity mixes so sweetly with ours,” said Shawn Routten, General Manager of the Epicurean Hotel. “We know our hotel guests and area neighbors will join us in giving a warm welcome to this cool local company.”

Helping create the shop’s signature laid-back vibe, the sidewalk of the shop will be lined with crisp white tables and signature blue Chill Bros. umbrellas, while inside, original work by famed local muralist Chad Mize will bring the interior to life with an array of colorful characters.

Epicurean will also house the company’s new production facility, the heart of Chill Bros., where all the ice cream is mixed, frozen and packed on site. The full-service pastry and ice cream kitchen is visible from the hotel scoop shop and Howard Avenue, giving a front row seat to the team of pastry chefs creating every sauce, infusion, baked good, candy and mix-in that goes into their scratch made ice cream.

“Opening a third scoop shop at Epicurean is very exciting, and having it house our production facility is the cherry on top,” said Maximilian Chillura, owner of Chill Bros. “This is where all the magic happens.”

Staple Chill Bros. ice cream flavors include Belgian brownie; brown-butter praline-pecan; double down Oreo; peanut butter cup; Tampa banana; and orange creamsicle, to name a few. House made vegan ice cream and fresh baked cookies will also be served.
