Chicago Paulie’s might be the top hot dog spot in the state of Florida. I’m prone to hyperbole, but their Chicago dogs are just fanatic. The hot dog joint announced it would close for a duration back on December 27, 2022. At the time they anticipated a potential March reopening. The wait finally ended as Chicago Paulie’s opened back up at 1301 N Howard Ave on Monday, May.
The spot is famous for it Polish sausage, Italian beef, and loaded Chicago-style hot dogs. Their menu has also featured big chili dogs, stacked corned beef sandwiches, and crinkle cut fries. It’s a no frills, all flavor type of Tampa gem that earns praise of the product it dishes out.

“Chicago Pauli’s was delicious! Mr. Chicago Pauli’l himself, is just as good of a person as the food was,” writes Adrian Battle in a 5-star review. “I got a Italian beef sandwich, the meat was juicy and flavor filled, and a Chicago dog for 11 bucks! Can’t beat that, I will definitely be back again.”
“A friend once told me you can get the best food outside a gas station, and this time he was right! After 4 years we finally managed to visit Paulie’s while he was open,” writes Brandi McCallum in another 5-star review. “The menu is hot dogs, hamburgers and fries. It’s simple, uncomplicated and super tasty.”
