Looking for love? Ditch the app, and lace up your sneakers. As part of their huge (and free) 5K outside of Armature Works this February, Champs Sports Run Club is also hosting a “Run. Walk. Meet.” Valentine’s event on Saturday, February 15 at 7:30 am. The scenic run club event is open to singles, couples, and of course, those who just want a good run without the matchmaking.
Like the popular mixers at bars across the country, participants of this free run club event will select one of three color-coded bracelets, indicating that they are either “Ready To Mingle” (green), “Running Just For Fun” (yellow), or “Off the Market But Still on the Track” (red). The event is open to anyone who loves moving, whether you’re solo, a couple, or looking to make new friends.
In addition to the run, “Run. Walk. Meet.” features engaging activities set to an energetic playlist, promising a memorable experience for everyone. Whether you’re looking for love or just looking to break a sweat and have some weekend fun, this is going to be the run club of the year in Tampa.
Champs Run Club, which made its Tampa debut last year, takes place outside of Armature Works (1910 N Ola Ave). Over 700 runners attended last July’s 5K, and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger, with tons of great perks. Free registration includes a Champs Run Club T-shirt (first come, first served); four Chances to win a $250 Champs Sports gift card (FLX members only); plus recovery lounge amenities and breakfast refreshments while supplies last, among much more.
The Champs Sports Run Club powered by ASICS is completely free for participants, and those interested can register here.
