Tequila’ing me softly with these fresh tortillas and huge taco selection, Catrina’s. That’s right, West Tampa, your new go-to taco and tequila spot is set to debut this summer, and could arrive in early July if all goes according to plan.

To call their tequila selection huge would be an understatement. Catrina’s plans to feature more than 100 different brands once the restaurant is up and running. Their initial launch will see a wide variety of wines and beers for customers to pair their tacos with.

The owners have also added a special speakeasy room where guests can enjoy a more intimate dining experience. It can fit up to 10 people that will be available only with the correct code word.

Catrina’s menu will feature customer favorites like the guacamole Catrinas topped with shrimp, queso fundido, homemade mole and fresh tamales. The owners also assure there will be ample vegan and vegetarian options and chef specials on the weekends.

Oh, West Tampa, you’ll be able to brunch it, too. Catrina’s will host a special Mexican brunch from 11am-3pm.

Once the restaurant’s liquor license is cleared, diners will be able to enjoy Catrina’s 10 different fresh margarita flavors as well as specialty house drinks.

Catrina’s should open by mid-July.
