Cask, a restaurant/bar concept in SoHo, has been lighting up social media with images of their unique high end dishes. Entrees such as the Belgian bird (a refined variation on the classic chicken and waffle and recipe), granny smith apple slaw and smoked brisket sandwich and pork belly reuben with hand crafted sauerkraut and secret sauce have only added to the anticipation of Cask's official opening. These dishes are accompanied by a juggernaut dessert menu which includes a milk and cookies cup with blackberry coulis.

Noel Cruz and chef Masaru Takaku, owners of Ichicoro, have been busy the last few weeks bringing the flavors of Tampa to Manhattan at Ramen Lab's pop-up restaurant on the lower east side. The dishes were a mix latin flavors and local produce.

In describing the menu, the New York Times writes "Mr. Takaku is serving ramen Tampa-style, which is with Florida ingredients like citrus and corn…You can order their champon, which has pork and Gulf shrimp in a tonkotsu broth, another with vegetables in a tomato-miso broth and a spicy soba ramen with poached egg."

This restaurant will be the first of its kind in Tampa. Its opening will solidify Seminole Heights' reputation as the new epicenter culture and dining in the city. Ichicoro joins area favorites Hampton Station, Fodder and Shine, The Bourgeois Pig and Red Star Rock Bar

Ichicoro will be located at 5229 North Florida Avenue. An official opening date has not been set yet.
