Plant City’s Keel Farms is kicking off spring with one of Tampa Bay’s most anticipated annual events—the 17th Annual Blueberry Festival. Running every Saturday and Sunday throughout April (excluding Easter Sunday on April 20), this month-long celebration highlights the best of Florida’s blueberry harvest with fun for all ages.

Festivalgoers can visit Keel Farms on April 12-13, 19, 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Located just 15 miles east of Tampa at 5202 Thonotosassa Road, the farm transforms into a vibrant community hub with u-pick blueberries, local craft vendors, and plenty of delicious food truck fare.

In addition to fresh blueberries, visitors can enjoy bounce houses, a dedicated kids zone, camel rides, a petting zoo, and even blueberry shortcake eating contests. Keel & Curley Winery and Keel Farms Agrarian Cider will also release special blueberry-inspired beverages exclusively for the festival.

U-pick blueberries are available daily while supplies last and weather permits. For those who prefer to skip the picking, freshly harvested and pre-packaged berries will also be available by the pound. Buckets for u-pick are included at no additional cost.

Admission is free, and on-site parking is available for $10.

Celebrate the delicious season in Plant City

“We love seeing families make this a yearly tradition,” said Clay Keel, President of Keel Farms. “Each spring, we challenge ourselves to make the festival better than the year before. Where else can you take a camel ride, sip on a blueberry cider, and leave with a bucket full of berries you picked yourself?”

With its welcoming atmosphere and wide variety of activities, the Keel Farms offers a perfect way to celebrate the season and support local agriculture. Pets are welcome, kids can run free, and guests of all ages can experience the joy of Florida farming.
