Green Book of Tampa Bay offers a comprehensive directory of black-owned businessesin the Tampa Bay region, and we’ve used this directory to feature many of the businesses below. Black-owned businesses that want to be listed on the site can click “add listing.” Listing options range from free to $30 for a premium listing. Hillary Van Dyke and Joshua Bean founded it just over a year ago. You can learn a bit of history behind the name “Green Book of Tampa Bay” by clicking here. You can follow Green Book of Tampa Bayon Facebook, as well.

As a community, it is our job to come together and support one another. Below you will find a list of black-owned businesses both in Tampa and the city of St. Petersburg, as well as a selection of nonprofits. Show them love. Show them support.

Another page, Black Owned TPA, has launched to celebrate black-owned businesses throughout the region. You can follow the page on Instagram for daily posts about locally-owned concepts you can support right now. You can send the page a DM to be featured.

Our goal has always been to showcase all things good. This is a moment where we can do good for those in our city.

Nicole Slaughter-Graham, interim editor of The Temper, has created a comprehensive Antiracist Resource Guide for all those who wish to educate themselves and their loved ones.

I also encourage you to follow the work of The Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg. The organization continues to provide pivotal services, and educational opportunities for those most in need.
