Big Ray’s Fish Camp is a Tampa legend. The celebrated restaurant crafts what many consider to be the very best grouper sandwich in the state of Florida. I haven’t tried every single grouper sandwich in the state (yet), but Chef Nick Cruz certainly crafts my personal favorite. After tons of hard work and commitment to community, Cruz and his excelsior restaurant are set to be featured on Food Network this October. We love to see a local dream come true.
Big Ray’s Fish Camp posted the following on Instagram: “BIG NEWS ‼️ We’re excited to share that Big Ray’s Fish Camp will be featured in the new season of @FoodNetworkCA’s #BigFoodBucketList! 🎥 🤤 ” In case there are any former Tampa residents residing in Canada, you can tune-in to the new season on September 3 at 8 p.m. Big Ray’s episode will air on October 8, 2022 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show will be available to stream on Hulu.

Big Ray’s Fish Camp is getting global attention
In Big Food Bucket List, host and comedian John Catucci (You Gotta Eat Here!) takes viewers on one-of-a-kind food adventures across North America, as he checks off the most drool-worthy dishes and must-see culinary stops along the way.
Big Ray’s Fish Camp operates two locations in Tampa: 6116 Interbay Blvd; and another at The Sail Pavilion at 333 S Franklin St. The new Riverwalk location opened in the summer of 2019. Massive shrimp po boys, addictive onion rings, and tasty fish dip round out the Big Ray’s menu.
