BellaBrava, the award-winning Italian restaurant in St. Petersburg, has opened a 4,500-square-foot restaurant in Midtown Tampa, and we are so ready for some wine and award-winning pasta and flatbreads.
Earlier in the summer, the restaurant went on a major hiring spree to fill positions at its restaurant within the bustling neighborhood.
Here’s the post from Midtown Tampa:

BellaBrava brings Italian favorites to Midtown Tampa
With 4,500 square feet at Midtown’s main entrance off Cypress Street, next door to Shake Shack and below Aloft and Element Hotels, BellaBrava will showcase its trendy European décor atmosphere and superior guest service experiences.
“After searching for a location in Tampa the past couple of years, we were thrilled to discover Midtown Tampa,” said Robert Sanderson, managing partner of BellaBrava, back in February 2020. “We were inspired by the success of our BellaBrava location on Beach Drive in the heart of an exciting, urban neighborhood and searched for a similar type of location in Tampa where we could become trailblazers again at our next urban destination.”
The menu is influenced by BellaBrava’s owners traveling throughout Italy sampling the best cheeses, pastas, herbs, meats, seafood and pizzas in the world. The result has been earning accolades, recognitions, and thousands of loyal followers. BellaBrava has been named as one of USA Today’s top 10 restaurants in St. Petersburg/Clearwater, earning Best of the Bay for Italian Restaurant, happy hour and wait staff, and was voted Best Restaurant Downtown St. Petersburg three years in a row.
An award-winning concept grown in St. Pete
Serving up true Italian flavor, BellaBrava is known for using only the finest Old World herbs, spices, and cheeses and serving generous portions. Guests can expect to enjoy such signature drinks as a true Italian martini, main courses like hot Sicilian flatbread with Molinari pepperoni, hot capicola, genoa salami, tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, asiago, Calabrian chili, oregano, and then choose from a menu of enticing deserts such as Chocolate Marsala Cake with Sea Salt Caramel Gelato. An extensive wine list, with nearly half being Italian, will complement the experience.
An official opening date is still TBA, but the restaurant could open as early as July.
