Beans & Barlour is quite unlike any other spot in the Tampa Bay region, and now its legendary boozy desserts are hitting the road with one the area’s first full service mobile bars. Owner Story Stuart continues to innovate her boozy dessert game with options like hard seltzer sorbet floats, edible cookie dough(!), whiskey cheesecake ice cream, bottled cocktails to-go like the espressotini, edible chocolate cups, boozy ice cream cakes, and cookie ice cream sandwich flights.
Earlier in the season Beans & Barlour launched a partnership with First Chance Last Chance Bar to service its boozy ice cream alongside the bar’s cocktails.

Now, after months of prep, the benevolent Beans & Barlour will hit the road with a brand new mobile dessert bar. The Beans & Barlour mobile bar will first arrive at the Wild Plant Bazaar in St. Petersburg.

“The great thing about it is that since we have a brick and mortar, we will actually be able to have it licensed for food and full liquor,” Stuart wrote in a message to That’s So Tampa. “We’re excited to introduce a full service experience with the ability to serve our full specialty coffee menu, cocktails, ice creams, fun floats, shakes and more!”
Beans & Barlour was initially one of several local spots slated to join Tropicana Field at the start of the 2020 MLB season. In spite of not being able to there this season, Stuart and her team continued to flex their local pride with their Rays-inspired ballpark shake.
The concept received high praise, and was extraordinarily popular during The Enchanted Christmas event at the stadium this past winter.
Keeping customers and staff safe
Through this pandemic, the Beans & Barlour team has reconfigured its practices to safely serve the community — this includes closing off the space for indoor dining.
Over the years Beans & Barlour has gone viral for its special offerings. In the past, Story Stuart has crafted magic with a Harry Potter-inspired menu, a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory-themed menu, summer of seltzer sips, and more desserts almost too pretty to eat.
Beans & Barlour’s partnership with Katies Fine Cookies for one of their boozy pints is also a match made in heaven.
Keep up with the popular dessert hub
“We will be popping up for some special events as well as accepting private bookings for parties, weddings, etc!” wrote Stuart in an Instagram post.
