Bar Monte, a traveling pop-up bar concept by Amaro Montenegro, will debut in Tampa this spring at Armature Works in Tampa Heights.

Bar Monte is a traveling pop-up bar that’s bringing a taste of “la dolce vita” from Italy to the U.S. The traveling bar features excelsior cocktails and immersive games. This is an open-air experience that will allow friends to enjoy the simple pleasures that we’ve all collectively been missing this last year.

At each tour stop, Amaro Montenegro will partner with a local bar or restaurant to offer a lineup of creative cocktails including Monte Flight Tastings, mini cocktails featuring Monte on the Rocks, Monte + Tonic and the Montenegroni. Bar Monte will also featurevYard Games including Bocce Ball, Corn Hole and Yard Dice. Each partner restaurant will also create a signature Amaro Montenegro cocktail that will be showcased during the pop-ups.

Bar Monte’s nationwide tour kicks off in Florida at Armature Works, Tampa Heights’ historic neighborhood food hub, partnering with BE1 concepts’ M.Bird, Steelbach and Stone’s Throw. On Friday, April 16 to Sunday, April 18; and the following weekend, Thursday, April 22 to Sunday, April 25, Bar Monte will be stationed at the spacious eatery offering unobstructed waterfront views, specialty Monte cocktails created by the concepts, delicious bites and interactive yard games.

Armature Works is located at 1910 N Ola Avenue. Bar Monte hours of operation are Thursday – Saturday from 3PM to 9PM; and Sunday from 12PM to 6PM.

This continues Armature Works excellent activation in Tampa Heights. In the past year it has played host to Super Bowl week concerts and events, a live aerial cirque performance, and a drive-in movie theater.

Visitors to Armature need to experience Muchachas if you they haven’t already. The restaurant makes some of the best birria tacos in the state.

Bake’n Babes, which is one of the most popular and innovative bakeries in the region, now calls Armature Works home, too. Their milkshakes are massive, super sweet volcanoes that erupt with flavor.
