Few new restaurants have been recommended to us more than Bang Bang Bowls. The New York-style Indian Rice Bowls are taking the Seminole Heights neighborhood by storm. You can visit the restaurant at 5214 N Nebraska Avenue. Another location in Wesley Chapel is set to open in October, though an address and official opening date are still TBA.
First timers should dive into the Bang Bang Special. The bowl features their savory saucy lamb, served on yellow rice topped with lettuce, chickpeas, tomato, onion, black olives, cucumber, fried onions, raita (creamy yogurt sauce with veggies), house-made Bang Bang Sauce, house-made creamy green chutney. Their menu also includes spicy shrimp, potato cauliflower, and jerk lamb tacos.

There are vegan options as well. Their vegan masterpiece is comprised of spiced ivy gourd, okra, potato cauliflower, served on yellow rice topped with onion, cucumber, tomato, carrots, green olives, kidney beans, house-made bang bang (butter masala) sauce, house-made tamarind sauce, and cilantro.
Bang Bang Bowls uses locally sourced Halal meat and South Asian spices to create one of the tastiest counter service experiences in Tampa.
