The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce will host a sprawling Back to Biz Expo on October 6. The event will provide one of the largest networking opportunities of the year for entrepreneurs and established small business owners, and feature several panel discussions and a keynote speech from Bemetra Simmons, Tampa Bay partnership CEO.
Angela Lanza with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Jeffrey Kamis with PDQ, Dave Ward with Buddy Brew Coffee, Valda Conyat at Trulieve, and other local business leaders will participate in the conference.
This will be the fifth year the chamber has hosted the annual event with this year’s event to be enhanced with a full day conference focused on resiliency, marketing and leadership. The conference portion of the event will include a half-day Resiliency 101 workshop, followed by panel discussions with top area CEOs and marketing experts, and will conclude with a key-note presentation featuring Bemetra Simmons, the newly appointed president and CEO of the Tampa Bay Partnership. The expo will showcase more than 50 local businesses, giveaways and a headshot lounge.

This expo is dedicated to small business resiliency, marketing strategies, community relations, and how businesses in the Tampa Bay region can create an eco-system of success for one another.
The chamber’s president, Kelly Flannery, said, “We are thrilled for the return of our annual business expo promoting our local businesses and for the addition of an educational conference. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain business insight from Tampa’s top CEOs and to strengthen their businesses with workshops on resiliency and marketing.”
There are several ticket options to accommodate the various interests of the attendees including a full day pass, half-day pass and keynote only ticket. The expo hall will be open to pass holders 11:00am-1:00pm and to the general public from 4:00-6:00pm. Entry to the event is complimentary after 4:00pm.
