ATL-based sushi donut and pizza spot coming to Tampa

Sushi pizza, sushi burritos and sushi doughnuts? Yes, yes and yes. The popular Atlanta-based restaurant chain Poke Burri is bringing its wild sushi creations and hearty poke bowls to the city of Tampa — and we couldn’t be more excited.

The restaurant has gone viral in the past for its artfully shaped sushi treats. They even serve up deep-fried corn dog sushi.

A few eye-catching eats include the Demogorgon Burrito Roll, made with spicy tuna, lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, eel sauce, spicy mayo and tempura flakes, and the Tangy Crab and Shrimp poke bowl with furikake, seaweed, wasabi mayo, beets, radish sprouts and pickled ginger.

Viral dishes are almost too pretty to eat

Poke Burri also offers a secret menu that we hope to become better acquainted with once the restaurant settles on a location in Tampa.

Burrito rolls cost about $11, with poke bowls ranging from $12-$15. Donut-shaped sushi dishes, made from a choice of crab salad, salmon, and spicy or regular tuna.

The dishes themselves are made for the Instagram age, and while they’re almost too pretty to eat, we can’t imagine resisting a fat slice of sushi pizza for long.

Follow Poke Burri on Instagram for updates on an opening timeline as well as an official location announcement.

Would you try a spicy sushi donut?
