Tampa is one of the most delicious cities in the country. Just check out our Bib Gourmand Award-winning restaurants for reference. Or pay a visit to the spots that made the cut for the most beautiful restaurants in the US. One spot has been holding it down in the city of Tampa for 110 years; that spot is the sensational Alessi Bakery. Renowned for its pastries, seasonal king cakes, scachatta, and Boston cream pies, Alessi is ready to celebrate another major milestone in Tampa.
Alessi Bakery is a true Tampa treasure, and it dates back over a century to 1912, making it one of the few historic restaurant establishments in the entire Tampa Bay region. The bakery was first opened on Cherry Street by Nicolo Alessi. He arrived in Tampa from Italy and brought his knowledge of baking and proud European heritage with him. The spot is now set to celebrate 110 years in the city of Tampa.
Nicolo’s insistence on quality, hard-work, consistency and customer service inherited by 4 generations has been their perfect recipe for success. Their love, experience, and knowledge have made the Alessi family bakery the most successful and well-known bakery in Tampa offering the finest baked goods, wedding cakes and catering in the Tampa Bay area.
If you find yourself overwhelmed by the sweet options behind the pastry, then I’m here to save you some time. Never ever leave Alessi without treating yourself to a guava and cheese turnover. The official celebrations take place September 24 and 25. They’re rolling back prices on select items for these two days. Indulge in $.49 gourmet brownies, $.59 eclairs, $.59 guava pastries, and $.49 coconut macarons.
