Yelp reviewed businesses based on ratings and review volume, capping entries at 10 per state for diversity. Chef-owner Mouna Alchabab’s love for traditional Middle Eastern ingredients powers the popularity of this vegan gem. Originally starting in 2010 as a caterer, Mouna gained a loyal following for her “smooth and creamy” hummus and baba ghanoush dips. In 2018, she opened her permanent spot to meet the rising demand, and it quickly became a go-to for plant-based diners.
Today, The Mediterranean Chickpea serves seven house-made dips, including inventive flavors like Cilantro-Jalapeño Hummus.
