USF unveiled a new rendering of its on campus stadium on Facebook

The University of South Florida (USF) has unveiled updated renderings of its highly anticipated on-campus stadium, just in time for the Bulls’ big game against Miami. This marks a significant milestone in the $340-million project, which is now back on track after a strategic shift in its delivery approach last December.

USF ended a year-long partnership with a Barton Malow-led design-build team due to the team’s inability to meet the original 2026 completion target. Barton Malow cited “significant global supply chain issues” as the reason for the delay. Now, with a new team in place, the project is moving forward with a fresh vision and renewed momentum.

A new dynamic home for the Bulls

The stadium promises to transform the Bulls’ football program and foster a vibrant campus atmosphere. It aims to be more than just a game-day venue by creating a dynamic space that enhances the university’s sense of community, vitality, and engagement throughout the year.

To further excite fans, USF shared a new rendering showcasing the stadium’s unique student section, which will boast over 8,000 seats in a custom Bull U-shaped design. This section will have its own dedicated entrance, concourse, and concessions, along with a special area for the HOT Band nearby.

Elevating the game day experience

The university has appointed Manhattan Construction Co., H.J. Russell & Co., and DuCon, LLC as the construction management team for the stadium, located on its Tampa campus. As the project progresses, this team will work to bring USF’s vision of a state-of-the-art facility to life, solidifying the Bulls’ place in collegiate athletics and campus culture.

The stadium will be located on the east side of the Tampa campus known as Sycamore Fields. The site, which is currently used for intramural sports, is within the USF Athletics district and sits near its operations facility and new Indoor Performance Facility.
