St. Regis Hotels and Resorts will unveil the highly anticipated St. Regis Longboat Key Resort (1601 Gulf of Mexico Dr., Longboat Key, FL) on Friday, August 16, from 11am-1:30pm. The unveiling marks the completion of the largest development project in the area for over 50 years. This might be our new favorite staycation destination when it debuts.

In advance of the official opening in September, the resort’s soft opening on August 16 offers the public an exclusive teaser of the property: select rooms, the 20,000-square-foot spa (including signature treatments), and the spa’s dreamy oceanfront views, and 5 food and beverage venues.

Dreamy amenities and oceanic activities

Renowned architectural firm, 10 Design, envisioned The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort, while Miami-based designers Hirsch Bender Associates developed the interior.

Located on the sweeping beauty of the ocean, the resort boasts 800 feet of crested, lapping private beach of Sarasota’s Barrier Island, multiple luxury swimming pools ensconced by cabanas, a serpentine waterway, and most notably, an expansive saltwater lagoon with a functioning ecosystem, complete with wildlife: string rays, tortoises, tropical fish, and more.

The entire property has an 18-acre footprint, in which there are 168 guest rooms including 26 suites with terraces, amenities, and unparalleled St. Regis guest service. 7 unique culinary hubs are on site, each with their own chef, 6 of which are open to the public, the other, private.
