Half Moon Seafood Company, a sustainably sourced Tampa-based seafood restaurant, just opened their second Tampa location in Sparkman Wharf. Favorite menu items include the fried oysters and chips, a po’ boy filled with wild caught shrimp, coastal tacos, crab cake sandwiches, and Nashville hot fish.
“We’re always on the lookout for great restaurants and local entrepreneurs who can make a positive impact on our community,” said Gabby Soriano, Senior Manager for SPP. “As Water Street Tampa solidifies its reputation as a top culinary destination in the region, we’re excited to work with another fan-favorite local restaurant and bring our neighborhood a fun new dining concept.”

Half Moon Seafood prioritizes sustainability
Founded in 2020, Half Moon emphasizes responsible, sustainable sourcing and creates made-to-order meals with fresh, house-made ingredients. The locally owned fast-casual restaurant will offer a seafood- and chicken-focused menu and a variety of innovative sandwiches and plates. The Sparkman Wharf menu will include Half Moon’s popular take on Nashville hot sandwiches, including their signature Nashville Hot Fish sandwich, which was named Tampa Magazine’s Best Sandwich in 2021, and New Orleans-inspired po’boys. Prices will range from $10 to $20.
“We are thrilled to join the Sparkman Wharf family and bring our local brand to the Water Street Tampa community,” said Tyler Cate, Co-Owner of Half Moon Seafood Company. “Half Moon’s creative take on classic sandwiches adds a fresh new option to the diverse mix of restaurants at Sparkman Wharf. We are extremely grateful SPP continues to support smaller, local restaurateurs during this tremendous growth of Downtown Tampa.”
