Zen’s Toyland, a new toy store in Wesley Chapel, is named after owner Harshal Patel’s son — and provides a den of discovery for kids and families alike. at 25712 Sierra Center Boulevard.
I love toy stores. Some of my most core memories come from the times my parents took my to our local toy shop up in Connecticut. Building blocks, action figures, magical doll houses, complicated puzzles, family-friendly boards, and more are like flint for the imagination. I was thrilled to see that Wesley Chapel, an already booming area, officially has its own brick-and-mortar toy shop, Zen’s Toyland. Owner Harshal Patel opened his first toy store in 2019 in Massachusetts when his son, Zen, was 3.

Zen’s Toyland is a beautiful throwback in Wesley Chapel
“I noticed there was a need for a toy store where kids can go explore, touch and feel toys and get lost in their thoughts,” said Patel in an interview with That’s So Tampa. “A joyous place that kids tell their parents they want to return to for the magic they experience.” There is a certain spark that all heavily curated, and locally owned small businesses foster. Zen’s Toyland, with its jubilant puzzle- and LEGO brick-inspired logo, is a new source of magic in the region.
The shop is committed to providing kids and families with high quality, durable, and educational toys. Zen’s inventory features toys that are made here in the USA and ones that are made in Europe. Patel assures that these are toys you don’t see everywhere, and each has a big wow factor.
They carry baby toys, plush toys, items for arts and crafts, puzzles, science and STEM toys, train sets, Legos, R/C Cars and more. We literally carry something for all ages. “We carry over 5,000 unique toys” says Patel. 
Bringing smiles to kids and adults in the Tampa Bay Area
Zen’s Toyland officially opened at 25712 Sierra Center Boulevard just about one year ago. “When we came down to see the area, we were lucky enough to find a space that was empty and that’s when our Wesley Chapel store came alive.” says Patel. “Parents and kids have a huge smile when they walk in and are surprised to see all the stuff we carry…the smiles we bring can’t be replicated with online shopping.”
A trip here will include the visage of an array of Hot Wheels, all the fidget toys your digits can handle, row upon row of LEGO sets that range from simple to complex, bikes and scooters for kids, a proverbial jungle of plushes, and even more nostalgia inducing games.
