Pirate Water Taxi to launch new haunted river tours

Pirate Water Taxi might be the best way to explore Tampa. Enjoy serene views of Armature Works, Sparkman Wharf, Amalie arena and the myriad other marvels along the Hillsborough River all while taking in fresh air. The resplendent service is taking a turn for the spooky this fall with the return of Haunted River Tours.

Pirate Water Taxi is combining the two for a mini haunted cruise sure to get you in the Halloween spirit. 

On select nights in October Pirate Water Taxi invited the public on board for an evening of ghost stories and haunted facts along the Hillsborough River. 

Each tour will be led by a dead-lightful docent who will entertain guests with spooky stories of Tampa’s past. N

The haunted river tours last about 50 minutes each and occur every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October. Trips depart from the Tampa Convention Center, which is located at 333 South Franklin Street South. 

Here’s what to know before you ride:

Safety Protocols:  Captain Jack II will run at 50% capacity. All parties subject to assigned seating due to social distancing and/or mandatory mask requirements in compliance with CDC recommendations and City of Tampa mandates. Learn more about Pirate Water Taxi’s commitment to health and safety.

Cruise Departures: Friday, Saturday & Sunday night in October

Cruise Times: 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 9:15 p.m.

Cruise Length: 45-50 minutes
