Wicked Oak BBQ might be the best BBQ joint in the city of Tampa, and it has grown from a food truck to a standout brick-and-mortar spot in the burgeoning Seminole Heights neighborhood. Felix “Bubba” Flores officially opened Wicked Oak’s restaurant in September 2020. If you do just one thing this week, make sure it’s getting the burnt ends on Friday. It’s pure savory candy.

On Monday, August 9, the restaurant will join Grow Financial Credit Union’s Grow On Us campaign. The restaurant will give out free Smoked Que-ban sandwiches with baked Beans, potato salad and a drink while supplies last.

Smoked meats and wicked eats are Wicked Oak BBQ’s claims to fame. They bring award-winning, slow-smoked meats to the table, along with heaping homestyle sides and homemade sauces. Their secret to success? Keeping BBQ simple and classic!

You can visit the restaurant at 6607 N Florida Avenue, right next door to King of the Coop.

Wicked Oak is renowned for its slow smoked pulled pork, smoked sausage, and 813 wings served with guava BBQ sauce.

Looking for something a little different? Try the Smoke Bomb.

This loaded smoked potato is filled with pulled pork, queso, shredded cheese, green onion, sour cream, and wicked BBQ sauce.

Wicked Oak’s most popular menu item may be the Tampa Two. The dish features pulled brisket, mac n’ cheese and queso in between two pieces of buttery Texas toast grilled to perfection.

The Dirty Dog could conquer even the most voracious eater. Jalapeño and cheddar infused smoked sausage is served on a roll and topped with Bubba’s slow smoked, award winning pulled pork, shredded cheese and queso.
