Fourth of July Events in Tampa

For those looking to enjoy the fireworks, food, music and fun during the 4th of July, Tampa is the place to be. Here are a few events you need to know about for this Fourth of July!

Tampa Red, White and Blue Fest at Cotanchobee Park (July 3)
Join the Tampa community at Cotanchobee Park for Red, White and Blue Fest. There will be an igloo drag race competition, free face painting, an All-American food court and more. FREE to attend. Begins at 5pm on Sunday, July 3. Cotanchobee Park, 601 Old Water Street.

July 4th Celebration and Fireworks at The Florida Aquarium
Enjoy the 4th of July at the aquarium. There will be family-friendly entertainment and all-American dinner served up. Soak up all of the fun on The Splash Pad. The Florida Aquarium will also have extended hours. Don't miss the fireworks display which begins at 9pm. Aquarium hours are extended until 9:30pm. Click HERE for full details. 4th of July Military Appreciation at Lowry Park Zoo
Serving those who serve! On Independence Day, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is offering FREE one-day admission to members of the U.S. military (active duty, retirees and veterans) plus one free guest. Admission for additional dependents or guests may be purchased during the same transaction for a special rate of $15 per person (adult or child). Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, 1101 West Sligh Avenue. 

4th of July at the Tampa Bay History Center
Join the Tampa Bay History Center as they celebrate Independence Day with reenactments, history interpreters and hands-on displays that will teach you all you need to know about the 4th of July and it’s importance to America. Admission is $5 for everyone and includes all other exhibits in the museum. Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water Street.

Light Up Tampa Bay at Channelside Bay Plaza
Enjoy live music, entertainment, family friendly activities and of course fireworks with Channelside Bay. This is Tampa Bay’s largest firework series and you don’t want to miss it. The patriotic festivities began at 6pm. Channelside Bay Plaza, 615 Channelside Drive.

July 4 Family FunFest and Fireworks on the SS American Victory
The American Victory Ship offers the “best view in Tampa” for watching the celebrated fireworks display. The evening event features musical entertainment from DJ Ian Paul, a special Kids Zone with two face painters from 6:30-8:30pm, games, as well as arts and crafts. Refreshments will be available for purchase from food trucks including Empanada Mama, Planet Grilled Cheese, and Engine 53 Pizza. Beer and wine available as well. Gates open at 6:30pm. Tickets from $7-$12. SS American Victory, 705 Channelside Drive. 

Shriners International Parade and Firework Display
Enjoy a parade and fireworks in historic Ybor City. The parade will feature Shriner mini cars, clowns, band and more. The parade starts at 6pm down 7th Avenue in Ybor City. 

Yacht Starship Fourth of July Firework Cruise
Celebrate the 4th of July offshore with Yacht Starship. The firework course include a buffet and open bar that will be serving up some traditional American favorites. There will be a DJ and a dance floor. This cruise will include watching the firework show. There is a VIP Cruise and a regular cruise. VIP boards at 6pm and departs at 6:30pm.
